Cardinal and Lace- SCH Saturday!!!

A SCH Good Morning!
That's right it is time for another challenge from SCH, this one is to make a card, layout or project using lace.
If you go here, you can view the challenge, the cards the design team has made and join in the fun. We would love to have you join in and play along with us!! Just use any SCH image and make something that uses lace and post it on the blog linking to your creation! Yep, just that easy! Show us some of your very own eye candy!!

This week I used the Cardinal image which I really love, I have been wanting to do something with this and this was the perfect opportunity! Here is the card I made for this weeks "lace" challenge.
I really love the way this bird just dresses up any card but don't you think he looks particularly handsome surrounded by lace, braid and berries. The background he is perched on is another of Tracy's images, Christmas Joy.... I just took the wording off and used the beautiful flourishes as a frame. This is what makes digitals so perfect to use, you can manipulate the size and the content 'til your little heart desires. Here are a couple more shots for you to see a closer view.
My teammates are listed on the side bar or you can go to Sugar Creek's blog to view their spectacular creations. Thanks for your visit, and for any comments you might leave. I love hearing from you!!

This card was entered in the following challenges:
Digi Doodle Challenge #31-Anything Goes

Meljen's Design Challenge #31-It's a 2-fer

A Sugar Creek nugget:
for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.

MMSC77- Fall Gift!

Good Tuesday Morning!

Today is Midnight Madness day....we are on Challenge 77, so come on and play with us!!!  Here is a close look at the sketch for this week!
The digital stamp set I chose to use is called Fall Gift. There are 4 images included in the set, all of them are wonderful.  As you can tell when you look at my card I used a couple of the images!!  This card was totally fun to make, the sketch lent itself to lots of flexibility and I went crazy with colors!!

This was my first time to use Prismacolors, I used baby oil instead of mineral spirits. Boy, I think I'm  hooked, it took a bit of getting used to but the blending is so much easier!  I found some little tiny acorns in the woods and used them for embellishment. Since it rained today I had some difficulty getting them to stay put. So here you are...I hope you enjoy my Squirrel and gifts.

I entered these challenges:
Cards for Men - Challenge 22-Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant - Color Challenge - Brown and Orange
I Did it Creations - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes, Any Celebration

SCH - A Saturday Share!!

Good Morning!
Wow, another weekend, is this month flying by or is it just me? We are creeping closer and closer to the holiday season and my mind set is somewhere in early summer.  This has been such a challenging year yet it has flown by!  Must be my age! *sigh*

Saturday is not only the beginning of the weekend BUT it is also share day for Sugar Creek Hollow!! This week we are sharing one of two images, Primitive Sheep or Christmas Cardinal. If you just followed those two links you can see how hard is would be to chose! I sort of thought many of my team mates would pick the cardinal so I decided to do the sheep, I've had a sneak preview and I have to admit, the Ba Ba Ba did just fine!!
You are in for a treat this week, so sit back and relax, visit Sugar Creek's shoppe for your freebie and shopping! There are some wonderful images for all your Halloween Thanksgiving and Christmas projects.  If you go over to the Blog to see all our cards.)  The challenge is posted there;  please play along with us! If you make a card with one of these beauties please let me know, I want to come see and uhhhh and ahhhh!!! You can also use the links on the side bar to get to the teams cards!

Ok, here's my sheep card for this week! I hope you like it!!
I used Puffy Paint on the sheep to give him/her a look of "curls". The Peace on Earth tag is also a SCH image!
Here is a close up.
Thank you for sharing some time with me. I hope the rest of your weekend is filled with good cheer and peaceful thoughts. See you again real soon!!
Many Blessings!!

A New Priscilla Design!!!

This is a brand new design being offered by Priscilla! Isn't this the absolute cutest you have ever seen!!! Just think of all the great things you can do with "Christmas Stocking"!!  Those projects you are getting ready to make will be even more adorable with this image! My grand son's are going to love this!

Because I am totally brain dead :( I didn't use the MMSC sketch this week for my card. I really have no idea what I was thinking, I am going to blame it on stress....LOL! We all know it is probably AGE! For whatever reason, which I am still trying to figure out, here is the sketch for this weeks MMSC. If I had realized it prior to about 5 minutes ago I would have recreated my card to be eligible, but since I was in the midst of posting this card I will just share the sketch and a link! So Sorry All! I remain a faithful follower with an extremely RED face!!

Thanks for coming by, leave me your thoughts, and forgive my slip up on design this week!!

Many Blessings!

Color Challenge!

Hello!
This week SCH is having a color challenge for the DT. Here are the colors: Early Espresso (dark brown), River Rock (sand/tan) and Baja Breeze (bluish-green). Make a card using these colors. Since I really love these colors together making the card was really fun!

I decided to use the Christmas Dove, one of Tracy's winter images along with the Believe tag. My paper is Basic Grey's Cappella. I hope you like the card I came up with for this challenge!!
The crinkle ribbon is available at the SCH shoppe! If you haven't used this I think you would love it, Tracy has some gorgeous colors to chose from.

Be sure to visit each of the design team members sites, I had a sneak preview of their work and you will be amazed at the gorgeous creations awaiting your visit!! Leave me some "love", I would love for you to become a follower, take a "click" over to Tracy's shoppe, and look on the side bar to the right and visit my team mates!!

MMSC75-Cat and Hats!

Good Morning All!
My trip to Texas for the family reunion was long and tiring but well worth it! I saw cousins I had never met before and cousins I haven't seen in a bazillion years. While we were there for the reunion on my Dad's side of the family my Mom's sister had passed the word along and we had a reunion on Mom's side of the family as well! We ran from the time we hit Texas until we finally arrived back here late yesterday afternoon. I am beat!

But.....I have an adorable card to share. I had the images almost finished before leaving town so it was really a matter of putting everything together when I found a few minutes for crafting! This cat and both hats are from Priscillastyles and can be found at her store. Take a close look at this kitty's face, isn't she adorable? I gave her a glittery collar and her hat is very sparkly as well! Let me show you the sketch first and then the card.
This is the sketch for this week, a great sketch to work with and this kitty and her hats we purr-fect for this design!!

I just couldn't resist adding that hat at a snappy angle, it really makes her look so sophisticated!! The hats were paper pieced via the computer and the cat was colored traditionally with water colors. I added some stickles and glitter pen touches to spice it up. In real life this card is really fun!!  Now let's take a closeup look at the kitty and the hats!

Thank you so much for stopping in to see my contribution to this sketch! Look on the right sidebar and you will find my team mates listed, treat yourself to some real eye candy and inspiration!! Drop into Priscilla's store and view the amazing collection of images she has available at extremely reasonable prices!! I look forward to hearing from you and reading your comments! Hope you have an outstanding week!

Blessings,
donna

This week has just flown by, right now I should be in Texas with my Dad for a family reunion! We left Thursday morning (which is tomorrow morning as I write this), isn't the world of technology just amazing!!

First let me share the sketch the design team was working with this week.

Both of the images I used are from the Autumn releases, the beautiful little country "Fall Church" and the "Thanksgiving Wishes" which was a freebie!!

Thank you so much for dropping in today! My design team members are listed on the right sidebar under SCH design team, treat yourself to some real eye candy and visit these exceptional artists! I would love for you to take a minute and leave me a comment and become a follower, it is such a treat for me to read the nuggets you leave me!!

Christmas Blog Hop for SCH

Good morning and thank you for joining us here at Sugar Creek Hollow  for our Christmas Blog Hop.  We are going to play the "Secret Word" game today.  You will need to collect a letter at each blog and then post your answer at the last stop.

We will be awarding a $25.00 gift certificate to one lucky winner!

I am sharing with you today the new Christmas Digi Stamps I used entitled:
Black Sleigh (it comes in different colors)
and
Christmas Dove
 and
 a Vintage Merry Christmas tag

Using these gorgeous images I made a little  basket to hold some small greeting cards for a gift.  Let's take a look!
This is the front of the basket

This is the back of the basket

Each side was decorated with some adorable vintage postcards. Along with the design paper and Tracy's images this turned out to be the perfect gift for my neighbor;  she helped out with the horses while I was in California. Here is a shot of each of the sides.

For the inside I made some cards with the Christmas Dove on the front.
If you have figured out my secret letter, leave me a comment telling me what it is and move on to Julie's blog.   She has the next letter for you.  If you have arrived at my blog first, you will need to start at the beginning to get all of your letters in the proper order.  Here is the order of our blog hop. Good Luck!!
