SCH says Inside Out!

Good morning bloggers! Today we are asking you to show us not just your beautiful card from the outside but take the next step and include the inside! Yeah!

I take many of my cards down to a local consignment shop, when I start picking out the cards to take I have to sit down and finish up the inside. Anyone else put off the inside until it is needed? Most times my outside is pretty generic, it could be for a birthday, an anniversary, just to say hello, sympathy or whatever may be needed; the inside is used to personalize the reason I am sending it/or selling it. So this challenge was really good for me. Since we are discussing the inside, let's take a look at the inside of this week's card.

That beautiful butterfly image can be found here.  The designer paper is from a digital kit by Webster's pages, isn't is scrumptious?  It's from the kit Nature's Story. Are you inspired yet to join us with the challenge this week? Go to SCH's blog where you will see each of the Designer's Teams cards this week along with instructions on how to enter, how to win a freebie, how to become a guest designer!!! Go, go now!! Wait, finish looking at my card first!! :)

Now I would like to share a few more photos of this weeks card.
Hopefully you will able to see the layers! I printed the image a couple of times and popped up the butterfly. Can you see that wreath image that surrounds the butterfly, well that is from Graphics Fairy. I masked it into the Webster's pages print to bring focus to the butterfly, cut out some of the flowers and leaves from another printed piece and layered it. I did a blanket stitched along one side of the card. It looks really cool in person!
Another close up, can you tell I love this image!! Ok, enough already! Here is the card front.
Before you leave let me make a suggestion. Although you can see the Design Team's creations on SCH's blog you really miss so much unless you visit the creators blog. There you will find so much more information and a chance to look around at all the amazing talent in this group. I privately think of this group as "The Dream Team",  there is just so much talent, inspiration and imagination in these ladies, I feel quite honored to be included in this group! You can find each blog listed on the side bar, treat yourself!  I would love to hear from each of you as you blog along, thank you for stopping in!!

I am Yours, I am Yours

MMSC92- Midnight Madness!

It's time for another Midnight Madness sketch challenge. This week's challenge is #92. Here is what you will be working with this week.

Make it plain, make it fancy or anywhere in between.
I chose to use one of Priscilla's new designs called "Bird Cluster".  You can see it on the Midnight Madness Blog  and at Priscilla's store.

This is my take on the sketch this week. I love this line of birds and after I finished with the card my Dad mentioned his sister is having her 90th birthday the first part of March. I decided to go back and make a couple of adjustments so I could send it to my aunt for this wonderful occasion.

Since this is such a special birthday I wanted a very special envelope to put the card in. I used the same image on the outside of the front of the envelope and mimicked the stitching that is on the card. By adding the "90" to the front of the card it personalized it as a birthday card, plus the envelope has "Happy Birthday" gold embossed on it. The inside (which I forgot to take a photo of) has a very personal message along with the song "Happy Birthday". I hope it brings a smile!!

This is the front and back of the envelope. My Dad has it now and will be mailing it to Texas tomorrow!

On the sidebar you will find links to my team mates blogs where you will find some astounding eye candy. Please take the time to visit each one and enjoy the beauty and inspiration! Come play with us at Midnight Madness this week using Priscilla's latest amazing sketch!! Thanks for dropping by!!

Buttons and Bows-SCH Hollow Sat Challenge!

This week our challenge is to use Buttons and Bows.

I chose the Eastern Blue Bird image along with the dogwood branch. I must be trying to get a mind set for spring! Boy am I ready!! This bird and it's brothers, the Barn Swallow and the Christmas Cardinal are three of the most beautiful birds you can find anywhere!

OK, this is how our challenge works:
Each week we will choose one random winner, who will receive a free digi of their choice from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe and a badge to display on your blog.  If you use a Sugar Creek Hollow image you will get two entries in the random draw.  Just follow the instructions on the sidebar to link your second entry.

Each week the Design Team will choose a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will get a badge to display.  One overall winner will be chosen each month from the Cards of the Week.  That person will be invited to be a Guest Designer and participate in the next challenge.  An image will be provided to them to work with.  The Card of the Week prize will be awarded once we reach a minimum of 10 entries.

I chose to use a sketch from Stamp With Fun #98 for designing my card this week.
one more of a close up of the bow:

My papers are K&Co and Club Scrap. I used a cuttlebug to emboss the strip of blue, I put versamark on the inside of the folder, after dry embossing I sprinkled it with gold glitter embossing powder and heat set it. I did the same thing to some small scraps of green paper to get the leaves which were punched with a MS punch. I have become addicted to stitching around my paper and seem to do it every week. I love the look it gives! I used the gold cord to enhance the buttons and the bow, some gold stickles as the center of the dogwoods and a Sakura glitter pen on the flowers. I hope you like the way it turned out! Too glitzy?

I hope you will join us this week in our challenge. Please take a moment to leave me a comment, I love hearing from you. Thank you so much for stopping by, good luck on your entry!!

Fanning the Flame-MMSC90

It's Tuesday.  It's Midnight Madness Time!!
Welcome to my little space for sharing some works of love!  That word love seems to be in the air, it's everywhere right now, it's almost the official day for showing that someone special how much you love them. Valentine's Day is so close,  if you need to get a card ready for your special someone allow me to suggest you join the fun at Midnight Madness with this weeks sketch!

Make it simple or dress it up or do something in between! If you are looking for just the right image take a peak here!!  Priscilla's store has some perfect images for all occasions but let me tell you she has made up some fantastic Valentine images. I love all of Priscilla's art work;  this week I chose to use one of the older images, the Victorian Rose Fan Set. This set comes with three images, you can check out the set here.
Here is a close up of the fan, isn't it gorgeous! I printed it on some K & Company paper then used a white gel pen to highlight the lace area and a Sakura glitter pen to bring out some of the delicate markings. I colored the flowers and leaves with markers;  the blue accent area was done with watercolor pencils. I think this image is such a romantic Victorian image.
The tag at the top of the card was computer generated, it was printed on the same paper as the fans. Ahhh, romance and fans, "Fanning the Flame". Is that a little "over the top"?  ;) Ok, enough little snippets, let's take a look at the finished card. I do hope you like it, I have fallen in "love" with it!

The other papers I used were from DCWV, Club Scrap and one paper I can't identify the company. It was in a batch of scraps. I used a MS punch on the bottom to give the jagged edge shown in the sketch, some metallic thread hand sewn of the corners and then machine stitched around the paper. The tiny roses are from Ben Franklin and the gold cord is the cord that is used with the Bowdabra. That yummy wide gold lace is from Walmart and finally the gold ribbon across the card is from Ben Franklin. You don't realize how many elements you use until you start listing them all! :)

One more look!

My design team mates are listed on the side bar under Priscillastyles Design Team, do yourself a real favor and check out their lovely creations. (This is Team B's week to share a digital image with you) I hope you have enjoyed today's card and am so glad you stopped by, please leave me a "hello" before you leave.
