A very good morning, welcome to this week's Fabulous Friday! I hope you are all settled in with your cup of java and ready to hop around to see some eye candy!
As you can tell by the title, the DT's are sharing recessed window cards with you this week. Have you ever made one? Well, I never had and wasn't sure what to expect. We (DT team) were given a link to a great tutorial at
SCS, bless their hearts, they have saved my crafting life more than once!! The tut was so detailed I found making my first recessed card was not only fun but was delighted with the outcome!!
The basket, the watermelon, the cloth under the basket, the text inside the card are all from Sugar Creek Hollow's
Summer's Picnic! The jar is from the
Jelly Jar Set! The tree is from a sketch I did and then added leaves on the computer and then used it over and over. A little grass, shading and blue sky and you got yourself a picnic scene. Here's the inside:
All those adorable little watermelon's I used for embellies were made by printing out the watermelon and using Shrinky Dinks to shrink them down. Gosh, I haven't done that in forever, now that was really fun! Although, I must admit my first batch didn't flatten *sigh*. This shows you how versatile your digital images are!
Thank you so much stopping in and sharing your cup of java, I would enjoy reading any comments you may have! Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
