SSSCHC- Embossing (sensational saturday sugar creek hollow challenge)

Let's start with a bit of news.
First the sad news - Tracy has decided to close the Sugar Creek Hollow store effective
immediately and she has put a little note for her followers on the store site, which you can read by clicking here.

But now the good news - we will be keeping the challenge blog open and will be coming back next week with some exciting changes.

This week we are going to do some embossing. I decided to do dry embossing using the Cuttlebug folder, Textile Texture. I love the pattern of this folder but I'm not sure the name relates just how pretty it really is!  But first I want to show you one of the SCH images I am using this week. This is called Eastern Bluebird but I have used Prisma Colors and baby oil to color it like a Lazuli Bunting. I have a small postcard of a Lazuli Bunting you will see in the photo of the entire card front and on the envelope.

Along with the Eastern Blue Bird I used a SCH tag which says "Thinking of You".
In order to play along this week go over to the "Blog" to get the challenge information. You will also be able to see the design team's cards/projects to give you ideas and inspiration. However, in order to get details on the teams cards you will need to visit their blogs, I have them listed on the side bar. It is worth a trip to each blog, you will be quite happy you made the "click"! :)

Here is the full card:

Sketch with Circles

This week Tracy has a beautiful sketch that highlights circles. I am not usually a "circle" girl but this sketch is really fun to work with. Here is a photo of it:
As you can see there are great possibilities! You will be able to see the project that the design team came up with by going over to the blog.  There you will also find all the rules for joining in the fun and the link for adding your card so we can see it!  I hope you will join us this week with your ideas and imagination, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

SCH's beautiful Ephesians 2:9 verse is surrounded by Webster's Pages, a graphic from the Graphics Fairy and other papers including "mariposa" by DCWV.

I also used my circle nestibilities, a MS punch and a gold doily from Ben Franklin. I can't remember where the pearls came from but this is the last of them. I hope to find some more somewhere! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by this very busy weekend. May your Easter be blessed with God's love.

The Resurrection-John 20:1-10
1 Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. 2 She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, “They have taken the Lord’s body out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” 3 Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb. 4 They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in. 6 Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, 7 while the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings. 8 Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed—9 for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead. 10 Then they went home.

MMSC100----Yes!! 100

Hello ladies and welcome to a milestone celebration, this is the 100th sketch for Midnight Madness!

I was fortunate enough to get to work with an image from the new stamp set called Horse Head Stamp Set, you can find it at Priscilla's store. I love, love, love this image! Here is my card for this week, I hope you like it!

Make it fancy or CAS, or anywhere in between!

Being from Texas originally I gave the card a western flavor. I have a mare that looks very much like this image and used to show her in AQHA shows (American Quarter Horse Association). The saddle I used for showing had silver trim on it as did her bridle. She was gorgeous all spit shined and tacked up to the hilt! We only showed for about 3 1/2 or 4 years, it became just too expensive, but those are memories I thought about while making this card!!
Here is the inside, love this quote and it sort of expresses the way I feel when I ride. Horses are such elegant animals, their beauty is breathtaking!

Here is the envelope above and one more shot of the card below. Please join us this week, this is such a wonderful sketch to work with! Don't forget to visit Priscilla's store for the latest images, you will be delighted at what you find!
Don't forget to check out all the design team's creations, they are listed on the side bar, you will find such beauty and inspiration!! Thank you for stopping in!!

 Romans 8:38-39
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NLT)

Midnight Madness #98-Let's Get Started!

Good MMSC Morning!
Today begins a new term for the design team (with new members) for Midnight Madness "priscillastyles" and I am privileged to continue for another term! This is a huge "Yippee!" for me. Let's look at today's sketch!

As always you can chose which one to use, the fancy or the simple, or if you are like me, a combination of  both. This is a great sketch and I had fun playing with it, you will too!

I used one of Priscilla's new images, Pitcher and Bowl, what a gorgeous image this is. You can take a look at the new images on the Midnight Madness blog or at Priscilla's Store.

I just love this image, it has so many possibilities! I have several more photos to share this week, sit back and enjoy! I hope you like my project and will leave me a comment before you move on. The other design team members are listed on the side bar, they would love for you to drop by!!

I am using the Dogwood Legend and the Dogwood branch this week, Easter is coming up and I love the story the legend tells. You can visit SCH's store here to see many, many images available!

I used Webster's Pages digi dp, the rest of the paper is from Club Scrap. My bow was made with crinkle ribbon from SCH. I hope you will leave me a comment to tell me what you think.
