Making Memories.......MMSC132- Midnight Madness Tuesday

Tuesday is a day I always look forward to in blogville! Priscilla always provides us with great sketches to work with through the Midnight Madness Challenge  and we get to work with her art. The priscillastyles design team always use Priscilla's personal images! This week I am working with Winter Christmas Skates, this image as well as all of Priscilla's images can be found at her store.

Before I show you my card let's look at the sketch for this week.
This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between.

I put a winter scene behind the skates so they would appear to be hanging on the inside of the house. Using glitter pens to color the garland gave it a touch of bling and vibrant colors. I also used prismacolors for the board the skates are hanging from. The tag is computer generated attached to a ribbon, some nestibilities, tiny silver bows and a touch of bling in the corner finished off the outside.
The inside also features the image with a computer tag to go along with the poem I included, Making Memories. Here is a better look at the poem:
Simple, sweet, little poem, right? It took me forever to find a poem that would compliment the vintage feel of the skates, the winter scene, the paper I had used and keep with a "yesteryear" feel. I finally decided to use this one mainly because I must had read a bazillion poems that were great but didn't go with the card or were too long to include. I can get lost in my own rabbit trails....LOL!!
Here's one more look:
Thank you so much for stopping in today to take a look around and to share your comments and thoughts. I hope you have enjoyed this weeks project as much as I did making it! I also hope you will be playing along with us at Midnight Madness, it is a pleasure to see all your ideas come to life!
Many Blessings!

Polar Bear Sledding!

Good morning,
We are having a dreary, rainy day but I have a delightful card to share with you made from one of Designed2Delight's images. The image is called Winter Bear and is one of the images for phase 6 of the Progressive Challenge taking place at CDAC.  I hope you enjoy this card and it brings a smile to your face!
The surrounding image is from Graphics Fairy, I thought it made a great frame for this image. I printed it twice, cutting out the circle on the first to place the image behind and then cut out just the holly and berries to pop up around the bear.

Here are a couple of shots of the inside of the card:
don't laugh too hard, this is my attempt at writing a poem :)
One more of the outside! :)
I hope you got a smile from this card, it certainly brought a smile to my face as I worked on it! I think this Winter Bear is just adorable! Please join in the fun over at CDAC and play along with us!!  Thank you for dropping by, I hope you are able to take a moment to leave a message!! Blessings!!

Challenge #6 of the CDAC Progressive Challenge

CDAC Progressive Challenge #6  (cdacpc6)
Nov 1st - Nov 14th

Are you playing along in these challenges? If not, you are missing some wonderful images, great challenges and lots of fun!!

I just finished a card using Daisy Doodles Candle set. This is such a beautiful grouping of candles; I wanted to put them in front of a window, so I chose some stained glass background paper (digital) to show off the candles. Using some crystal effect to give the Prismacolored candles some depth and using die cuts from Spellbinders, a couple of "found berries" from my stash, a piece of gold rope and a Sizzix leaf finished off the card. The saying is using part of a stamp from Club Scrap.

The inside of the card shows the full effect of the stained glass with the candles in the forefront. On the other side is a verse from Matthew 5: 14-16 with a mask of the stained glass in the background. I love the way this turned out!!

Here is a close up of the candles, aren't they a beautiful grouping?
Thanks for dropping by, taking a gander, hopefully you will leave me a note. Please come to CDAC and join in the fun! I look forward to seeing your creations there!!  Many blessings to you!

New Week-New Challenge-MMSC128

Good morning and welcome to another challenge from Midnight Madness, this is #128. As always you have a choice, make it CAS or make it Fancy or somewhere in between.
This week I am using Priscilla's Fruit Digital Stamp. Since I really love the color palette for fall and Thanksgiving this seemed a perfect image to use for this weeks card. First I colored the entire image with Prismacolors, then I used Liquid Embossing on just the fruit so they would stand out.  The leaves I used for embellishment were made using stencils, colored with Distress Inks; I drew the veins in with a Micro marker and added a coat of Liquid Embossing for depth. I really like the way they turned out!

The inside of the card shows this wonderful image along with a verse from Genesis 40. The verse is printed over the image with another colored image to decorate the inside of the card. Take a look.
Though it is hard to tell from the photos, the dark paper here is actually a very deep winter green handmade paper. One more look at the full card.
Thank you so much for stopping in, I hope you will take a moment to say "hello" and tell me what you think. The rest of the team for Priscillastyles is listed on the side bar, please take some time to visit them and soak up some inspiration. Blessings!!
