Blended Family-a Wedding Card

A dear friend of mine will be attending a wedding where the young bride has two children from a previous marriage and this is the first marriage for the groom. She asked if I could make a special card that addressed the blending of all parties into a new family. Here is what I came up with.

The bride and grooms invitation used cream and a deep purple, thus the colors used for this card. I hope you like the way it turned out, but more importantly, I hope the new family is blessed by it!

CDAC Progressive Challenge #10 (cdacpc10)

It has been weeks since I have posted a card. I have missed working in the craft room, the glue, the ink, the mess.... *smile* Finally it is time to get back into the swing of things and what better way to get started than to share a card made for this phase of the CDAC Progressive Challenge!  The image I am using for this card is from Firecracker Designs by Pamela; a sailboat scene. When I first saw this image for some reason the children's poem of Winkin, Blinkin and Nod flashed through may mind. So when I sat down to work on this card it became a fairy tale card, done totally with computer paper piecing with the feel of a child's story. I hope you like where my imagination took me, it was really fun to just let go and let the card create itself.

The digital papers were a 2005 free kit I found online. They sort of fall right into the story book feel!
