OK, now that business has been taken care of let's take a look at my card for this hop! We were challenged to use lyrics from a love or romantic song.
I chose "Unchained Melody" as my love song, not sure why except it was a favorite when I was young. (that should tell you how ancient I am! ..sigh) I love the sound of the Righteous Brothers, for all of you who are too young to know who that is click here to listen to this beautiful song and see who the Righteous Brothers are.
I used FCD's new set called Heart Strings. This is a perfect set for Valentine's but it is definitely versatile enough to be used for any romantic card. This set has gorgeous flourishes and a Romance stamp that is absolutely beautiful, there is also a dainty "I love you" that is perfect for most any card. As you can see, I used the old, distressed look for this challenge, perhaps it is because it was so long ago that this song was popular. Oh, the Righteous Brothers...I have all of their albums!! Unchained Melody is one of my favorites so that also tells you how old I am. I wasn't a baby when they came out..I remember them too well. I'm 63 now!! Your card is amazing! I love this theme that you all used. Thank you for the investment of your time into something that blesses us.
