Fanning the Flame-MMSC90

It's Tuesday.  It's Midnight Madness Time!!
Welcome to my little space for sharing some works of love!  That word love seems to be in the air, it's everywhere right now, it's almost the official day for showing that someone special how much you love them. Valentine's Day is so close,  if you need to get a card ready for your special someone allow me to suggest you join the fun at Midnight Madness with this weeks sketch!

Make it simple or dress it up or do something in between! If you are looking for just the right image take a peak here!!  Priscilla's store has some perfect images for all occasions but let me tell you she has made up some fantastic Valentine images. I love all of Priscilla's art work;  this week I chose to use one of the older images, the Victorian Rose Fan Set. This set comes with three images, you can check out the set here.
Here is a close up of the fan, isn't it gorgeous! I printed it on some K & Company paper then used a white gel pen to highlight the lace area and a Sakura glitter pen to bring out some of the delicate markings. I colored the flowers and leaves with markers;  the blue accent area was done with watercolor pencils. I think this image is such a romantic Victorian image.
The tag at the top of the card was computer generated, it was printed on the same paper as the fans. Ahhh, romance and fans, "Fanning the Flame". Is that a little "over the top"?  ;) Ok, enough little snippets, let's take a look at the finished card. I do hope you like it, I have fallen in "love" with it!

The other papers I used were from DCWV, Club Scrap and one paper I can't identify the company. It was in a batch of scraps. I used a MS punch on the bottom to give the jagged edge shown in the sketch, some metallic thread hand sewn of the corners and then machine stitched around the paper. The tiny roses are from Ben Franklin and the gold cord is the cord that is used with the Bowdabra. That yummy wide gold lace is from Walmart and finally the gold ribbon across the card is from Ben Franklin. You don't realize how many elements you use until you start listing them all! :)

One more look!

My design team mates are listed on the side bar under Priscillastyles Design Team, do yourself a real favor and check out their lovely creations. (This is Team B's week to share a digital image with you) I hope you have enjoyed today's card and am so glad you stopped by, please leave me a "hello" before you leave.
