This week our challenge is to make something with handmade flowers included. Hmmm, that sounds like a reason to go googling! I wanted to try something I haven't necessarily tried before. For whatever reason I was stuck with this idea of using ribbon not paper. I found all kinds of tutorials for making flowers with ribbon, I chose two I thought I could manage, one was using a folding technique and the other a sort of a twisting technique. Mine didn't turn out nearly as beautiful as the examples but it was a learning experience! :)
Before we get into my card this week, I want to share exciting news for Sugar Creek Hollow! March is our anniversary month, we are ONE year old this month! For my image this week I chose one of the Insect Tiles, my choice has the butterfly on it. I used Webster's Pages digital kit called Nature's Story and yes, attached my handmade ribbon flowers.
Here is a easy tut for them.
A closer look at the flowers and leaves.
