SSSCHC- Embossing (sensational saturday sugar creek hollow challenge)

Let's start with a bit of news.
First the sad news - Tracy has decided to close the Sugar Creek Hollow store effective
immediately and she has put a little note for her followers on the store site, which you can read by clicking here.

But now the good news - we will be keeping the challenge blog open and will be coming back next week with some exciting changes.

This week we are going to do some embossing. I decided to do dry embossing using the Cuttlebug folder, Textile Texture. I love the pattern of this folder but I'm not sure the name relates just how pretty it really is!  But first I want to show you one of the SCH images I am using this week. This is called Eastern Bluebird but I have used Prisma Colors and baby oil to color it like a Lazuli Bunting. I have a small postcard of a Lazuli Bunting you will see in the photo of the entire card front and on the envelope.

Along with the Eastern Blue Bird I used a SCH tag which says "Thinking of You".
In order to play along this week go over to the "Blog" to get the challenge information. You will also be able to see the design team's cards/projects to give you ideas and inspiration. However, in order to get details on the teams cards you will need to visit their blogs, I have them listed on the side bar. It is worth a trip to each blog, you will be quite happy you made the "click"! :)

Here is the full card:

Finally, the handmade envelope:

Thank you for visiting today, I enjoy reading your comments so please leave me a note. I look forward to seeing what you come up with this week!! Hope your weekend just keeps getting better and better!! :)

Oh my goodness. At first I could not find the SCH image, then after reading It is the Easter blue bird.
This is just fantastic, Your coloring is just fantastic. Stunning!

Wow Donna this is truly magnificent. I thought the colored image was a postcard - you have it so masterfully integrated into that wonderful paper. The coloring is stunning - you sure create a lot of depth in your colored images. And that butterfly charm inserted into the tear in the paper is genious! I must remember that for my own creations :) Have a terrific week!
Hugs,
Sharon

This is stunning. I am so glad I read all the way through the post because I also thought the birds were postcards. Your colouring is over the top gorgeous and I love all the jewel tones you used.
Hugs!

Donna, this is another example of your wonderful talent. Gorgeous card, inside and out, with amazing coloring and details. Even the envelope is a stunner.

I am so shocked to hear that Tracy is closing her store. I loved her images! I am happy to hear the challenges will continue. Am I correct in my assumption that the SCH design team will be hosting the challenges?

I am truly stunned....I have had to look at this several times Donna. There are too many wonderful things to see. I showed this to Hilary so she could see what you did with her bird and she was amazed (BTW,she got engaged last week). It has been such a pleasure having you design for SCH for the last year. I am truly a better person because of knowing you. I hoe we get to meet someday in person. I love you lady! Tracy
